St. Jude's Fundraiser

Dear CES parents and Students,

Team Madison City is running for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital again this year in Memphis.  We have been in the top 3 organizations for the past several years due to the generosity of our wonderful CES family.

This year, I’d like to challenge each student to find 5 people they could do a small chore for and earn $1.00 from each chore.  It could be family, friends or neighbors.  Some examples might be to water plants, bring in the mail or newspaper, set the table, unload the dishwasher or read to a younger child.  Most people would be glad to receive the help and would also be glad to contribute $1.00 to such a worthwhile organization.  Every school in our system has a child who has received care from St. Jude.   You probably know of someone who has benefited from this hospital that never charges anyone who cannot pay for medical treatment.

Please consider encouraging your child to earn and donate at least $5.00, but we welcome any donation!  No amount is too small.  We will also have one optional homework assignment where students go on a scavenger hunt for loose change.  We search under couch cushions, beneath recliners, in the clothes dryer and under the seats of our cars.  The “found” change is counted and put in a Ziploc bag and returned to school to be compiled together, counted as a class and donated to St. Jude.

As always, I am fully aware of how many worthy organizations there are out there and I understand if you are unable to participate in our St. Jude fundraiser.  These are totally optional activities.

Thanks so much for your support in all of our CES endeavors!

Welcome to Mrs. Jump's 4th Grade Class!

I look forward to meeting each one of my students soon. A few things to remember to help with the 1st day of school.

  • You may bring lunch or buy lunch from the cafeteria. If you are a returning student, practice your lunch number ahead of time.
  • Students may bring a healthy snack and a bottle of water each day
  • Students can bring supplies to Open House or on  the first day of school.
