Destination Imagination Team

Let's get Destination Imagination IGNITED at Columbia Elementary!  Calling all fourth and fifth graders...are YOU ready to ignite your creativity and work with a team to create a skit or solve a problem?  Mrs. Bolden and Ms. K. Johnson will be announcing team try-outs in the fall of 2017-18 school year.

The Destination Imagination program is a fun, hands-on system of learning that fosters students’ creativity, courage and curiosity through open-ended academic Challenges in the fields of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), fine arts and service learning. Our participants learn patience, flexibility, persistence, ethics, respect for others and their ideas, and the collaborative problem solving process. Our team will showcase their solutions at the regional tournament...and maybe even move on to state and nationals!

Destination Imagination participants experience these components of the creative process while solving a Challenge.
